Liverpool Backed for Top Six Finish

Liverpool have been backed for a top six finish after a two-nil victory over Stoke moved them to within two points of Sunderland who currently occupy sixth spot.

Goals for Raul Meireles and Luis Suarez on his debut ensured Liverpool look upwardly mobile and the manager was pleased with his new recruit, “He had not even had the opportunity to train with us because of administrative stuff which had to be sorted out.”
