Leicester v Millwall Tip

The Foxes are in freefall after taking 2 points from 5 games. The Lions have won their last 2, both away.

Good Friday sees a battle between two teams who have had their fair share of poor results since the turn of the year. The difference is that one of the sides, Millwall, appear to have turned a corner and are therefore great value at best odds of 17/4 (BetVictor) to win at the King Power Stadium.

It seems miraculous that Leicester City are still just about clinging on to the final play-off birth in the Championship after a dismal run of one win in nine outings (W1 D3 L5). Brighton are breathing down the Foxes’ necks, now only behind on goal difference, while Nigel Pearson is reportedly in danger of losing his job as Leicester’s Thai owners grow restless.

Millwall weren’t doing much better until recently but back-to-back away wins have brought the feel-good factor back to Kenny Jackett’s boys. A 1-0 triumph at Blackburn booked the Lions a trip to Wembley for an FA Cup semi-final showdown with Wigan. Then, three days later they claimed a 2-0 victory at Charlton in a fiercely contested local derby.

Those results ensure that Millwall head to the East Midlands in optimistic mood. They won the return fixture at the New Den and if the big-spending hosts continue to suffer stage fright then the double could be on.
