Hughton Odds On to become West Brom Manager

Most firms have closed their books after newspaper reports that Chris Hughton is set to become the next West Brom manager. One bookmaker still taking bets though is Victor Chandler who go 1/8 that the ex-Newcastle boss takes the hot seat at the Hawthorns. 

At 4/1 current caretaker boss Michael Appleton waits in the wings if the Hughton appointment fails to materialise. The big names of Roy Hodgson and Sam Allardyce have distanced themselves from the role in recent days and are now 16/1 and 25/1 respectively.

The successful candidate will be plunged straight into a relegation battle with West Brom sitting one place above the relegation zone. It will be interesting to see how the bookmakers react to the appointment with William Hill going 7/4 that the Baggies are relegated this season.
