Fulham v Arsenal Tip
The Gunners conceded just 14 goals away from home last season - comfortably the best record in the top flight.
It would be easy to make a knee-jerk reaction to the opening day results and get carried away with the prospect of an upset here - Fulham are a seemingly enticing 15/4 (Bet365) to win. However, there is plenty of evidence to suggest Arsenal are poised to bounce back.
The Gunners showed they remain a classy outfit in continental terms by beating Fenerbahce 3-0 in their own back yard on Wednesday night. That will have instilled some confidence in Wenger’s boys who have won eight of their 12 trips to Craven Cottage in the Premier League era.
Arsenal actually enjoyed the second best away record in the top flight last term (W10 D5 L4) while nobody lost more on their own patch than Fulham (9). Martin Jol’s troops have actually tasted home defeat four times on the spin.
This fixture ended 1-0 to the north Londoners back in April and I think something similar could happen again. We’ll take the best price 29/10 (Ladbrokes) on Arsenal winning by a one goal margin.
