Football Transfers: Latest Odds

Tevez bound for Milan?

If the papers are to be believed a lot of big names will still be on the move this month.

With more than half the January transfer window still remaining, the rumour mill has now kicked into top gear. But do the bookies believe that there’s no smoke without fire?

The latest whisper is that Andy Carroll could be making a dramatic return to Newcastle Utd after strugglinh to make an impact at Liverpool. He was 10/1 to return to Tyneside this month, but Skybet have slashed those odds three times today to make the prospect just 4/1. Meanwhile, Carroll’s replacement, the prolific Demba Ba, is just 8/11 with the same firm to be a Chelsea player when the window slams shut.

But there may also be high-profile departures from Stamford Bridge if media reports are to be believed. Frank Lampard is 11/4 (StanJames) to leave the Blues now that he is struggling to hold down a starting role. Striker Didier Drogba looks even more likely to pack his bags at 6/4 with the same firm. The Ivorian may be off to Asia, with Chinese team Guangzhou Evergrande 5/2 (Skybet) favourites to land his signature.

Blackburn seem to be selling this month with captain Christopher Samba not short of suitors. New QPR boss Mark Hughes is 8/11 (Skybet) favourite to land the giant centre-half, with Spurs at evens. Rovers forward Junior Hoilett could also be bound for White Hart Lane (9/4) as he runs down his contract, although Liverpool appear to be another possibility at 7/2.

Finally, Carlos Tevez appears to be destined to re-start his career in Serie A. AC Milan are 11/10 (Skybet) to take on the controversial Man City player, with neigbours Inter still in the frame at 2/1 (Bluesquare).
