Everton Odds 2012-13

Jelavic: Prolific at Goodison

Moyes was linked with Spurs in the summer but remains on Merseyside, at least for now. A finishing position above Liverpool for a second year in a row will be a target.

Best Title Odds: 300/1 (Coral)

Value Bet: 8/1 (Boylesports) - Steven Naismith to be Everton’s leading league goalscorer.

The 25-year-old has followed his former team-mate Nikica Jelavic down from beleagured Rangers with the Croat just 4/7 (PaddyPower) in this market. But Naismith was equally prolific at Ibrox last season before his injury, and could spring a surprise. Think Ba and Cisse all over again.

Summary:

Most importantly David Moyes starts another season in charge at Goodison. The departures of Jack Rodwell and Tim Cahill are blows but somewhat offset by the arrivals of Naismith and permanently re-signed Steven Pienaar.

Verdict:

The Toffees are so firmly lodged in one particular part of the table that they are 8/13 shots to finish top 8 with StanJames, yet 5/1 with the same firm to end top 6. The 10/3 (StanJames) on Moyes no longer being there on the last day of the season looks backable this time round.
