2nd Dec 2013 | Premier League
Crystal Palace v West Ham Tip
This London derby may not be enough to light up a Tuesday night for the neutrals.
If there’s one bet that leaps out for this fixture it must be under 1.5 goals in the match at best odds of 11/5 with Boylesports.
Crystal Palace have the most impotent strikeforce in the Premier League having mustered only seven goals in 13 outings. The good news for Tony Pulis is that the defence is improving with only one goal conceded in the last three matches. This combination has seen under 1.5 goals in each of the Eagles’ last three clashes (0-0, 1-0, 0-1).
On Tuesday night West Ham United are the visitors to Selhurst Park and they’ve failed to net in four out of six away league games in 2013-14. Until Saturday, Sam Allardyce had recently gone without any recognised striker in his starting line ups, and it remains to be seen if Modibo Maiga or Carlton Cole will be chanced for 90 minutes away from Upton Park.
Even if Big Sam does get bold, by his standards, this fixture is surely one where chances will be at a premium and a low score looks inevitable.
