With the home win heavily odds-on (2/5 Bet365) I would rather take the best price of 7/4 (Coral) on Frank Lampard scoring his 200th goal for the club he has excelled at since 2001. The England midfielder is largely being preserved for the league campaign at the moment and he has responded with a glut of successful strikes.

The 34-year-old has found the net five times in his last seven fixtures for club and country and was only denied by a fine save by Joe Hart from a spot-kick last weekend at Manchester City. That miss doesn’t concern me, he has a great penalty record and was more than overdue an unsuccessful effort from 12 yards.

Lampard has already notched 17 goals all told in 2012-13 - not bad for a man who spent much of the early season on the periphery of the Chelsea first team. On his current red-hot streak, something close to 2/1 on him scoring anytime at home feels like a bargain.
