Watford v Yeovil Tip
It's Championship big boys at home to minnows and the hosts carry a significant goal threat.
This looks like a good opportunity to delve into the Championship for some value in the anytime goalscorer market. Watford are one of the top scoring sides in the Championship and on Saturday they entertain rock bottom Yeovil.
There’s not a great deal of value in simply backing the home win (8/15 Ladbrokes) but Hornets star Lewis McGugan will surely fancy his chances of adding to his goal tally of five in 15 matches. The 25-year-old has had a remarkable 60 shots already in 2013-14. To put that in perspective, the division’s top scorer Ross McCormack has only had 45 efforts in 16 games.
McGugan may have lots of his shots from long range but his sheer persistence will always make him a real threat. Based on goals per game this season he should be about 2/1 but WilliamHill offer him up at a best price 11/4 to find the net anytime.
Given the weak opposition, home advantage and his prolific attempt rate, this must surely provide us with a significant edge.
