Cahill Still Up For Grabs

Cahill: In Demand

The odds have shortened on the England defender rejecting Chelsea for a rival at the last minute.

Gary Cahill may still be 4/11 (Skybet) to join Chelsea this month, but those odds are on the drift following reports that the Bolton star is unimpressed that negotiation details have been made public by the west London club. Man Utd (3/1) and Tottenham (9/2) are among the other big names thought to be keeping tabs on the situation.

Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas recently suggested that the two parties were still “miles apart” on agreeing personal terms despite the Trotters accepting a bid of around £7m for the player. Cahill is thought to be unhappy at possibly being portrayed as greedy by Chelsea; he could still decide to see out his contract at the Reebok Stadium and go elsewhere for free in the summer.

The 26-year-old scored a dramatic late winner for Bolton in the 2-1 victory at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
