Bookmakers Unmoved by Hodgson Appointment
Bet365 were the only bookmaker to react, pushing out West Brom's relegation odds.
Bookmakers remain indifferent to the appointment of Roy Hodgson with only Bet365 altering thier odds on West Brom being relegated. The suprise late move for Hodgson appeared in the betting last night, a story first broken by BettingBias. Chris Hughton was reportedly in pole position for the role but hitches with the hiring of his backroom staff seem to have impeded his chances.
The ex-Liverpool boss has 13 games left to steer the Baggies away from the drop, with crucial home games against relegation rivals in the next ten days. Fans will be hoping he can repeat the achievement of when he guided Fulham to safety with 18 games left in the 2007-08 season.
