Blues Face Tough Champions League Draw

Malouda in action

Benfica, and then probably Barcelona stand between Chelsea and a European final.

Chelsea have drifted to 11/1 (Bluesquare) for the Champions League after finding Benfica in Friday’s quarter final draw. However, the real reason for the drift is probably that the Blues are scheduled to meet Barcelona in a two-legged semi-final if the Spanish champions overcome AC Milan.

The draw was seen to be most favourable for Real Madrid - now just 11/5 (Coral) for glory. Mourinho’s side will face rank outsiders Apoel Nicosia in the last eight, and are sure to avoid their Catalan arch-rivals till at least the final. Bayern Munich were also clipped to 6/1 (PaddyPower) after Marseilles came out of the hat for them.
