Blackburn v Bolton Football Tip

With leaky defences all round, attack is probably the best form of defence in this crunch game.

Blackburn v Bolton already looks like the clichéd relegation six-pointer but it could be even more valuable for one of the managers; both under huge amounts of pressure if reports are to be believed. With the two teams playing poorly, picking the winner looks a difficult task but there is still an opportunity to make money on the game.

The Lancashire clubs find themselves at the bottom of the table mainly due to their porous defences. Blackburn have conceded 36 goals this season with Bolton even worse at 38. To put that into context the next worse defensive record is shared between Wolves and Wigan with 30 goals yielded apiece.

On a positive note both sides can also score goals, with the likes of Ivan Klasnic and Yakubu enjoying productive seasons. Goals are flying in at both ends with matches involving either team averaging 3.6 goals per game.

There have been over two goals in 25 out of 32 games involving either team this season, that would equate to odds of nearly 2/7 on it happening again.

A draw doesn’t suit either side and with Boylesports offering odds of 4/5 on there being more than two goals in the game we can sit back and enjoy some comical defending.
