Black Cats Up To Scratch

Sunderland fully deserve their survival after a stunning couple of months and they may not stop thriving immediately against fading opponents.

There’s always a danger that Sunderland have been on the electric lemonades ever since they secured their Premier League survival on Wednesday evening but at best odds of 19/5 (Ladbrokes) they’re worth a flutter anyway.

The Black Cats have really been on fabulous form, only losing to champions Leicester since February. They are now unbeaten in five (W3 D2) and with Jermain Defoe not yet giving up on an England call-up, they could triumph again at Vicarage Road.

Quique Flores leaves Watford seemingly because the board don’t appreciate what he has accomplished this season and that could create an odd atmosphere on Sunday.

Admittedly, the Hornets have only won two of their last 11 Premier League games and conceding four to relegated Norwich in midweek should be concerning. They can’t justify odds-on favouritism here.
