AVB On The Brink

AVB under real pressure

It was another night to forget for the Chelsea manager as his team slumped to a 3-1 defeat in Naples.

Chelsea have drifted out to 25/1 (Betfred) to win the Champions League after surrendering an early advantage over Napoli (18/1 Boylesports) and losing 3-1 in Italy. SkyBet make the Blues 2/1 shots to overcome the deficit and qualify for the quarter finals.

But there must be some doubt as to whether Andre Villas-Boas will even be there for the second leg on 14 March; the former Porto boss is just 8/13 (Skybet) to be the next top flight manager to leave his post.

The news just went from bad to worse for the Stamford Bridge club after it was announced that captain John Terry would be out for 6-8 weeks with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid remain 11/4 (totesport) for Champions League glory, although they surprisingly conceded a last gasp equaliser in a 1-1 draw away to CSKA Moscow.
