Arsenal v Norwich: First Goalscorer Tip

Arsenal face a Norwich team enduring their worst run of the season. The game is set up for their talisman to score first.

Arsenal still require a bit of work to seal third place in the league and I expect them to be fully focused against Norwich in the early kick-off.

It is a good time to be playing the Canaries who are going through their worst run of the season. Last weekend they slumped to a disappointing 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, the first time they have lost three league games on the trot all season.

Manager Paul Lambert shared his disappointment after the game, “It’s a sore one. There are not many times when I have walked away from here disappointed in the three years I’ve been here but that was disappointing.”

The Gunners have more reasons for optimism. A draw against Stoke looks a valuable point as it keeps their noses in front of Newcastle and Spurs. Robin Van Persie was also on the scoresheet again and seems to be over his mini slump by his high standards.

The Dutch striker has 28 goals in the league this season, with a goal every 112 minutes. Most of Arsenal’s attacking play is focused around their star-man and with Norwich struggling, he looks the value bet.

Back the reliant Robin Van Persie to open the scoring at 5/2 with Paddy Power.
