Arsenal v Man Utd Tip

A crucial game for the hosts against the new champions.

There’s a suspicion that this fixture has fallen brilliantly for Arsene Wenger with Manchester United arriving with a league title in the bag and very little to play for.

I was, like everybody else, therefore leaning towards the home win, until I looked at the odds and saw that Gunners were being seen as certainties, which is a mistake. Arsenal are nothing longer than 5/4 (Boylesports) to take the three points here but the draw looks the value at the best price of 11/4 with Bet365.

To right off the professionalism of a Sir Alex Ferguson side is a dangerous thing to do and he won’t want to ever be beaten by Wenger. The United boss has said he will play some fringe players but that shouldn’t be seen as a sign of weakness. The likely inclusion of the likes of Welbeck, Cleverly, Hernandez and Nani could give the visitors a fresh impetus.

The new champions have only lost one of their last 11 clashes with Arsenal in all competitions and a draw could easily occur to extend that sequence.
