Arsenal 7/2 for cup glory after footballing miracle
The Gunners emerged victorious from one of the greatest ever League Cup ties on Tuesday night.
They came from 4-0 down, then nearly blew it at 5-4 up, before finally winning a 7-5 thriller at a stunned Madejski Stadium. Arsenal’s astonishing extra-time triumph over Reading has seen them installed as the new 7/2 (Bet365) favourites for the Capital One Cup.
With most of the other top sides in action on Wednesday, Middlesbrough were the biggest movers in the betting. Tony Mowbray’s boys are now 20/1 (Skybet) shots having been way out at 66/1 prior to the 1-0 away win against local rivals Sunderland on Tuesday.
Aston Villa (10/1 Betfred), Leeds (25/1 Bluesquare) and Bradford (80/1 PaddyPower) also booked their spots in the quarter finals.
