AC Milan v Arsenal: First Goalscorer Tip

Ibrahimovic: Well-travelled

This Swede has played for Ajax, Juventus, Barcelona and both Milan sides.

Arsenal may have had a couple of excellent results of late, but I still see nothing to convince me that they can cope with top sides defensively, especially away from home. A trip to the San Siro to face Serie A leaders AC Milan very much fits into that category. One man in particular, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, will be a particular threat; at 19/4 (BetVictor) he can be taken on in the first goalscorer market with some confidence.

The 30-year-old striker has already netted in all four of his Champions League appearances so far this season. He is also second in the Italian goalscoring charts with 15 goals in 19 league matches. Although the Swedish star hasn’t always shone against English opponents, he has ‘previous’ against the Gunners. The 6ft 3in forward bagged a brace in his only appearance at the Emirates, with Barcelona in March 2010.

A Champions League medal is the one major club prize that eludes Ibrahimovic, who has won a remarkable seven league titles in a row with different clubs (although the two with Juventus were rescinded). He certainly won’t be lacking for motivation when Arsenal come to town on Wednesday evening.
