Wimbledon Tip: Juan Ignacio Chela

Feeling Chela

Playing the best tennis of his year and should comfortably defeat his injury prone opponent.

Juan Ignacio Chela and Alex Jr. Bogomolov are going into unchartered territory today at Wimbledon with neither having got past the second round. This probably isn’t a surprise for the Argentinean clay court specialist, but if he won’t get a better chance than today.

The world number 20 is in excellent form. A good first round win over the tricky Marinko Matosevic will have boosted his confidence on grass. Not that he should be feeling down. He reached the quarters at the French Open and the final at Dusseldorf in his last two tournaments. In his last ten matches Chela has won 8 and lost only 2.

His lower ranked opponent doesn’t have much pedigree on grass; this is his first time in the second round. At 8/11 Chela looks overpriced for a match he should win comfortably.
