Six Nations Betting: Final Weekend

It is the final Six Nations weekend and there is plenty to play for. We run through the betting.

The Six Nations concludes this Saturday, with all three games played on the same day; it is a marathon for rugby fans. Thankfully there is something to play for in all three. Let’s take them in chronological order.

First up is the battle for the wooden spoon. Both Scotland and Italy can take heart from last weekend but only one team came away with victory and that means everything.

A win for Scotland at 2/5 will avoid the wooden spoon. Italy come into the game after their best ever win, that should do wonders for their confidence and are 11/4 to win again.

Martin Johnson doesn’t mind talk of the Grand Slam, it crystallises the turnaround the England team have made in the last 12 months. Defeat at the Aviva is not an option for the manager. It is with the bookmakers; they make Ireland 9/5 to ruin England’s fun.

Last but not least it is the battle of the head cases. Wales have gone into their shell to find some precious victories, France have been picked out of theirs and gobbled up. A desperate defeat in Rome leaves confidence in the French team at rock bottom. At 4/11 Sportingbet still make them overwhelming favourites, but we have been there before.
