Haydock Tips: Mayoman

The forecast rain increases his chances and he’s got an excellent strike rate for a sprint handicapper.

At the time of writing the going at Haydock is described as ‘good to firm’ but with plenty of rain forecast in the next 24 hours I’d be surprised if it was riding any quicker than good.

With this in mind you want to be backing a horse who is better with some cut and Mayoman fits the bill.

Seven of his career wins have come on ground described as ‘good’ or softer and he again showed his liking for the conditions when fifth in a class 2 handicap at Newcastle two starts back.

With 11 wins from 45 starts, he has a fine strike rate for a sprinter and racing 2lbs below his last winning mark he should go well in the 2.00 Haydock.
