Haydock Tips: Lady Of Camelot
Returned from 17-month absence to win above average maiden carrying 9-13. Speed rating suggests she is up to the task.
Connections have needed to be patient with Lady Of Camelot, she only returned to a racetrack at the end of May after 17 months on the sidelines and the fact John Gosden has persevered speaks volumes.
Carrying 17lbs extra because of her age, she still routed a decent field with the runner-up going onto finish second at Royal Ascot.
Quickening well off a steady pace an already good speed rating gets upgraded to 100 and considering it was her first run in a long time, we should expect further improvement.
John Gosden has won three of the last five renewals of the Lancashire Oaks and although Lady Of Camelot is only rated 93, she is already a lot better than her rating.
