Haydock Tips: Doctor Parkes
Loves fast ground and finished within 2 lengths of some useful 100+ rated horses.
The 2.15 Haydock should be fast and furious and like several races at the track yesterday, this sprint could set up for horses coming from off the pace.
Doctor Parkes hasn’t had many opportunities to race on fast ground this season, but when he has, it’s been with distinction. Last time out he was only beaten 3 lengths at York despite racing from the worst draw. Isolated on the far side with only Zero Money for company he beat his nearest rival despite being carried left at the finish.
He also ran a cracker in a conditions event at Nottingham earlier in August. He finished a couple of lengths behind Dinkum Diamond and Masamah; both are rated in the 100s and have run well since.
Twice victorious at this level before, he has the ability and is the value at 14/1 (William Hill).
