Doncaster Tips: Wall Of Fire
Ran a remarkable race at York, off the bridle early on but covered the final 3f an incredulous 1.15s faster than anything else.
Wall Of Fire was never travelling through the early part of the race at York but still managed to come through and win by 2.75 lengths in a good time.
Visually it looked like a pace collapse but the gallop was no more than solid and Wall Of Fire quickened well in the last 3f. The 3-year-old covered the closing sectional an amazing 1.15s faster than the next best and earned an adjusted speed rating of 105.
I suspect Hugo Palmer has a cup horse on his hands and the further he goes the better. In the 3.05 Doncaster he takes a small step up in trip and any cut in the ground works in his favour. A mark of 102 is not insurmountable and he can win again.
