Curragh Tips: Hamza
Looked Group-class earlier in the year; well-drawn and could get a soft lead.
Hamza hasn’t quiet delivered on his last two outings but I remain convinced that he is capable of winning a pattern sprint like the 4.15 Curragh.
Earlier in the season he put in two fine front-running performances to win at Newmarket and Beverley in quick times. Things didn’t go to plan in the July Cup and he looks held by Slade Power on that form, but Hamza was poorly drawn and couldn’t get to the front.
This afternoon he is drawn in stall 9 of 10, which gives Pat Smullen a good chance of grabbing the stand’s side rail and gaining a soft lead. At 11/1 (BetVictor) he looks overpriced.
