Champion Hurdle Betting: Binocular Out
Binocular will not race in the Champion Hurdle after testing positive for a banned substance whilst being treated for an allergy.
Champion Hurdle favourite Binocular will not run at the Cheltenham Festival after he did not feature in Sunday’s declarations for the race.
His trainer Nicky Henderson revealed that Binocular had been treated for an allergy two weeks ago and subsequently tested positive for a banned substance. Having contacted the BHA the only course of action was to withdraw the horse from the Champion Hurdle.
Binocular had been the 10/3 favourite early on Sunday morning prior to his withdrawal. This now leaves Menorah at the head of the market at 10/3 with Bet365, whilst every horse has seen their price contract.
