Steve Stricker To Strike At Doral
Don’t be put off by his light schedule. He was runner-up last year, his sixth consecutive top-20 finish at Doral.
The WGC Cadillac Championship is Steve Stricker’s first stroke play event of the year and he must be a difficult player to price up.
The 47-year-old plays a reduced schedule nowadays but that doesn’t make him any less of a golfer.
In his last six appearances at Doral he has finished T6-T13-T16-T18-T8-2.
A light schedule doesn’t seem to affect his golf. Last year he finished two shots behind Tiger Woods despite playing only one stroke play event prior to arriving in Florida.
Stricker finished runner-up four times in 2013 and registered four further top-10s from just 13 starts. That kind of record doesn’t make him a 50/1 (Bet365) chance.
