WGC Mexico Championship: Justin Rose

WGC Mexico Championship: Justin Rose

Terrific tee-to-green and found something with the putter at the Genesis Open where he gained strokes on the field.

Justin Rose is a past winner of this tournament, back in 2012 he triumphed at the Cadillac Championship at Doral.  Along with his US Open and Olympic victories it proves he can win in elite company and that is needed this week.

The Englishman’s weakness is his putting and he’s experimented with equipment and technique changes this season in search of the answer. At the Genesis Open he gained strokes on the field and hopefully he can carry that confidence to Mexico.

So far, this year he’s finished 2-T4-T39-T4 and is currently fourth in the PGA Tour’s all-around ranking.

The Olympic gold in Brazil showed that the 36-year-old is better at adapting to unfamiliar surroundings more than most and he is sure to win another big tournament this season. At 25/1 (Betfred) there is enough each-way value in his price.
