Travelers Championship Tips: Brooks Koepka
Has been making waves on the European Tour for several months but confirmed he’s ready for the big time with a T4 finish at the US Open.
The Travelers Championship has produced a first time winner on tour for the past four seasons and there could be another in the shape of Brooks Koepka.
The young American will be full of confidence after his T4 at the US Open, a result that opens many doors. His card for the 2014/15 season is safe, as are positions in next year’s Masters and US Open.
The 24-year-old might be a new name in the States but in Europe he’s been on the radar for well over a year now. He won three events on the Challenge Tour in 2013 and has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the ranks.
He finished T3 at the Dubai Desert and made the most of sponsors’ invites on the PGA Tour, with a T3 finish at the Frys.com Open and five further top-30 finishes preceding his Pinehurst heroics.
Koepka is a golfer to watch out for and at 50/1 (Paddy Power) he is a great each-way bet.
