Travelers Championship Golf Tip: Nick Watney
Seven top tens this year already and the best golfer in the field.
The more I look at the Travelers Championship the harder it is to move away from Nick Watney. Standing 6th in the FedEx Cup, he has been enjoying an excellent season.
In twelve events this year, he has seven top tens and despite a missed cut at the US Open he is still swinging the club well. All the stats are in Watney’s favour. He ranks 7th for total driving, 16th for putting and 5th in adjusted scoring. It is very hard to see how he won’t be in contention come Sunday.
The tournament is not a regular event for the young American but he boasts a top ten finish from 2006. At 16/1 he is four points higher than he should be and rates as a solid win bet.
