Mayakoba Golf Classic Tips: John Huh

Ranked ninth on tour for driving accuracy and has already featured high on leaderboards this year.

Of all the 2012 rookies, John Huh has impressed me the most. Currently 33rd in the FedEx Cup standings, he has a season’s best T6 at the Farmers Insurance Open to look back on.

In his last three tournaments, the 21-year-old has finished T6-T12-T35, a most impressive set of results considering this is his first season on the PGA Tour. What elevates these results further is they were achieved on difficult courses against strong fields. Ranked 9th for driving accuracy and 26th for strokes gained putting, he has the attributes to succeed in Mexico this week.

A winner on the Korean Tour, this is a player who shouldn’t be underestimated. He possesses the game to compete on the PGA Tour and it shouldn’t be long before he visits the winner’s enclosure. Back Huh at 35/1 each-way with BetVictor and get ¼ odds for a top five finish.
