Mexico Championship Tips: Trey Mullinax
Big hitters populated the leaderboard last season and there aren’t many longer than Mullinax
Much as it pains me it’s time for the customary Trey Mullinax tip. It didn’t go well last time in Colombia when he finished virtually last but he probably couldn’t handle the windy conditions and Mexico should provide a more suitable test.
The El Bosque course measures a daunting 7,700 yards but this isn’t an issue for a player who ranked third for driving distance last season.
Playing the par-5s well will be crucial this week and Mullinax gets another tick in the box having ranked fourth for par-5 scoring last season.
I remain convinced Mullinax will win at some point this season and at 70/1 (Sportingbet) we can continue backing him.
