Mexico Championship Tips: Matt Atkins

Has come back from Q-School a different player. Already has a pair of top-5s this season and has the length off the tee for El Bosque.

Anyone who has played the game can testify to the frustrations of golf and Matt Atkins knows how quickly fortunes can change.

Last season was a pretty miserable one for the 25-year-old, he missed 14/17 cuts in his debut season on the Web.com with a best finish of T35. However he survived a trip to Q-School and has returned a different player.

So far this season he has finished T56-T2-T46-T14-T4 and he can continue to ride the hot-streak in Mexico.

Although he missed the cut last year (like almost everywhere) the El Bosque course should suit. He is long enough (24th in driving distance) and makes plenty of birdies.

Early in the season he Monday qualified for the RSM Classic on the PGA Tour and made the cut finishing T63. He’s got talent and is over priced at 40/1 (Skybet).
