Lyoness Open Tips: Eduardo De La Riva

Was second entering the final round last year and hasn’t missed a cut in his last eight starts.

With a couple of outsiders in our staking plan I’ve gone for a reliable third pick to ensure we have some interest come the weekend.

Eduardo De La Riva has missed just two cuts all season and his consistency should be rewarded in Austria.

The Spaniard was second going into the final round of the Lyoness Open last year but a poor front-nine left him playing catch up and he limped into seventh place.

The 31-year-old has a score to settle and he arrives in good form. In his last five starts he’s finished T10-T13-T71-T46-T21. Ranked 9th on tour for GIRs he should create plenty of opportunities.

De La Riva has improved every year since he joined the Challenge Tour in 2012 and a first European Tour win is the natural progression. At 35/1 (Betfred) we have a solid each-way bet.
