X Factor: Week 5 Elimination Tip

The only remaining act to have been in the bottom two twice. The assumption that the public have suddenly taken to them is highly speculative.

After spending two of the last three weeks in the bottom two, Stereo Kicks have to be backed for elimination at the third attempt at extortionate best odds of 14/1 with Sportingbet.

The bookies have all decided that the eight piece will be safe after Saturday’s live show saw the act interrupted on stage by a ‘comedy’ intruder, only to carry on a performance roundly considered to be professional. Is that really enough to turn the tide?

The curious thing is that Skybet only have Louis’s boys as 3/1 shots to return to the bottom two tonight. But if they are serious contender for the sing-off, which history suggests they must be, then why would we expect them to survive again?

It’s very difficult for the judges to keep saving an act that the public clearly don’t like so who would Stereo Kicks actually defeat? Paul Akister, the current favourite for elimination (10/11), has never been in the bottom two before and is a much better singer than the eight youngsters put together.

The likes of Jay James would also be unlucky to go in a first sing-off while group rivals Only The Young are surely a better bet to advance than Stereo Kicks. The only act who would probably go in a head-to-head with the boy band is Stevi Ritchie and who knows when the public will grow tired of him!

All things considered we should stick with the hard facts. Based on voting results, Stereo Kicks have been the least popular of the remaining acts and are therefore a crazy price at 14/1 this week.
