X Factor Week 6: Elimination Split Stake

We're splitting our stake on who goes this week. The only act to have been in the bottom two twice already may have got lost in the middle of Saturday's show.

This week I’m advising we split our stake on the next elimination market having already identified Stevi Ritchie as hugely vulnerable.

At 8/1 (Bet365), we would also be wise to cover Stereo Kicks as a distinct possibility. Louis’s eight-piece are perceived to be growing in popularity but history suggests that any act which has been in the bottom two twice must still be in jeopardy as more contestants depart.

The boy band survived a sing-off in Week 2 then enjoyed the ‘bottom two bounce’. They were then back there in Week 4 before a stage intruder led to plaudits for professionalism and that combined with a second bounce kept them safe again.

Past experience indicates that the bounce only really works for one week at a time which is why Jay James may be ok tonight at short odds while Stereo Kicks are a definite bargain at a big price.

It’s interesting that Skybet have them at just 11/8 to be in another sing-off yet realistically they are only likely to beat Stevi Ritchie if that transpires. The value is therefore in taking them to go, with ‘Only the Young’ emerging as the favourite group in the competition.
