Japanese GP Tips: Sebastian Vettel Podium Finish

Finished on the podium in his last three starts at Suzuka and the Red Bull showed good pace at Singapore.

The world championship looks like a two horse race between Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso and the momentum is with the German. His win at Singapore has given him a chance of retaining the title and it’s an opportunity Red Bull won’t pass up.

With Jenson Button given a 5-place grid penalty and Mark Webber playing second-fiddle to his team mate, there are only three realistic challengers for the win: Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.

It is hard to split the three drivers and they could end up filling the top-3 places on the podium, therefore at the current odds I’m drawn to the 4/6 (Paddy Power) on Vettel finishing in the top-3.

His last three starts at Suzuka have yielded two wins and a third place and although the Red Bull isn’t so dominant this season, it proved at Singapore it is quicker than the Ferrari and has the pace to challenge McLaren.
