Tottenham v Swansea Tip
Spurs have built a strong squad that can win these sort of fixtures routinely, even without Bale.
Swansea City showed they were adept enough to not only survive, but prosper in the Premier League last season. League Cup glory means they even have European football to occupy them this time round.
Michael Laudrup’s boys proved they can give any team a game, even if they normally came up just short against the big boys. Other than a stunning victory at the Emirates, these were Swansea’s away results agains the teams that finished in the top five in 2012-13.

Chelsea 2-0 Swansea
Tottenham 1-0 Swansea
This gives me confidence that the Swans will avoid a thrashing when they return to White Hart Lane on Sunday. It’s tempting to go with the 14/5 (Ladbrokes) on Spurs to win by one goal, but I’m going to favour the hosts to triumph by two at best odds of 17/4 with BetVictor.
Tottenham will be determined to show that there is life after Bale, as now seems inevitable. With Soldado and Paulinho already settling so well, a relatively comfortable victory looks on the cards here.
