Summary:
With Rodgers and Allen bound for Anfield, Danish legend Michael Laudrup has been invited to pick up the ball and run. Sadly, only metaphorically these days. The new coach has had spells at Brondby, Getafe, Spartak Moscow and Mallorca with some success. But a stint in the English Premier League will be a whole new challenge.
Verdict:
One of Europe’s biggest stars in his playing days, Laudrup is a headstrong character who will want to put his own stamp on the Welsh club. If things go wrong, don’t expect him to neccessarily stick around too long; the 48-year-old is 8/1 (Ladbrokes) to be first manager out and Swansea are 2/1 (Sportingbet) for relegation.
