Swansea Odds 2012-13

Sinclair: Had a decent first top flight season.

Second season syndrome is a recognised phenomenon even if your illustrious manager hasn't left. Laudrup has big boots to fill at the Liberty Stadium.

Best Title Odds: 4000/1 (Ladbrokes)

Value Bet: 9/1 (Ladbrokes) - To finish bottom.

Favourites to finish last 12 months ago, arguably it’s more likely now that the heart has been ripped out of the club with Rodgers, Allen and Sigursson all off to pastures new.

Summary:

With Rodgers and Allen bound for Anfield, Danish legend Michael Laudrup has been invited to pick up the ball and run. Sadly, only metaphorically these days. The new coach has had spells at Brondby, Getafe, Spartak Moscow and Mallorca with some success. But a stint in the English Premier League will be a whole new challenge.

Verdict:

One of Europe’s biggest stars in his playing days, Laudrup is a headstrong character who will want to put his own stamp on the Welsh club. If things go wrong, don’t expect him to neccessarily stick around too long; the 48-year-old is 8/1 (Ladbrokes) to be first manager out and Swansea are 2/1 (Sportingbet) for relegation.
