Swansea Back in the Big Time

Swansea grabbed the Wembley glory.

A 4-2 Wembley win put the Welsh side back in the top flight for the first time since 1983.

Swansea City became the Premier League’s first Welsh representatives after a thrilling 4-2 victory over Reading at Wembley. Their immediate reward for that achievement was to be instantly installed as 4/7 favourites for relegation by skybet. Right now that will be of little concern to delirious Swans fans who were in dreamland when their side cruised into a 3-0 halftime lead. The Royals then set-up a grand stand finish by netting two quick goals early in the second period. However, the contest was effectively settled in the 80th minute when Scott Sinclair completed his hat-trick with his second penalty of the afternoon.

It will be a bitter pill for Reading to swallow who have been priced at 14/1 by StanJames to win the Championship next campaign.
