Spurs haven't won any of their last four against the Potters but they desperately need the 3 points today.
It feels like a game where home win, away win or draw are all possible but a high score probably isn’t.
Presumably in homage to Tottenham and Gareth Bale the bookies disagree; so we can snap up the value with BetVictor going 13/5 on there being under 1.5 goals in the match.
The case for a tight encounter involving Stoke is one which I have frequently made. Without going over old territory I’ll just add that it ended 0-0 in the return fixture at White Hart Lane back in December as the Potters grimly held on.
Indeed, both of Andre Villas Boas’s Premier League matches against these opponents have ended goalless.
