Saturday Football Accumulator

We back the Gunners to continue their resurgence and oppose two of the big teams struggling in the Championship.

We’re taking Arsenal, Brighton and Charlton to all win on Saturday afternoon at best combined odds of 10/1 with BetVictor and here’s why:

WBA v Arsenal (37/40):

The Gunners clinched Champions League qualification with victory on this ground last season and after a run of five wins in six they should take a step in that direction again on Saturday. Cazorla is on fire, even Gervinho is contributing, while the Baggies are looking fitful at best after one win in four. They haven’t beaten a team of the calibre of Arsenal at the Hawthorns since November when Chelsea were vanquished.

Brighton (31/20) v Leicester:

A huge game in the race for the Championship play-off spots as 6th entertain 7th at the Amex Stadium. The Seagulls haven’t lost on their own patch in 2013 and have taken an impressive 17 points from a possible 21 in front of their own fans. Meanwhile the Foxes are in freefall after seven winless matches and three defeats on the spin. The most recent of those paid us out last week and we can oppose Leicester with confidence again here.

Charlton (13/10) v Leeds:

Given Brighton’s home record, a draw for Charlton at the Amex last time out was a good result. That followed a stirring 3-2 victory for the Addicks over in-form Bolton so the hosts will arrive in confidence. The opposite could be said of Leeds, another big team coming to terms with fading dreams. Neil Warnock left his post after the 2-1 home loss to Derby that more or less consigned the club to another year in the Championship. That’s assuming they don’t get relegated! Not impossible after three straight defeats has left them just five points above the bottom three.
