What A Borja

Swansea v Watford: Swansea to win 11/8.

Swansea have played well with scant reward. Borja Baston getting amongst the goals could be the difference.

Sometimes good bets aren’t always winning ones. In the long term, you need to make profit but having backed Swansea to avoid defeat in each of their last three games we can feel slightly aggrieved.

Fixtures against Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal were always going to be difficult but Swansea have acquitted themselves well and deserved something out of at least one of them – regardless of the manager.

Last week we highlighted Swansea’s poor conversion rate and it was great to finally see Borja Baston get on the scoresheet. The Spanish striker has been prolific in the last couple of years and has the potential to fire his team up the table.

After a run of difficult fixtures Watford provide welcome relief. They edged a dire game against Middlesbrough last week but apart from the league table, all underlying metrics have them very similar to Swansea.

It is too early to say whether Bob Bradley will make a positive difference but his team are due a change in luck. A home win at 11/8 Bet365 is the play.
