Title Betting Wide Open
With Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City all dropping points, the Premier League title is anyone’s according to the betting.
Six points separate the top eight in the Premier League but peculiarly the team in eighth are the bookies’ favourite for the title. Man City were beaten for the fourth time on the road this season but they are 11/4 (Betfred) favourites to win the league.
Arsenal and Chelsea are joint second favourites, both at 7/2, with Man Utd the big winners over the weekend. Now only five points off the top, David Moyes’ men are 5/1 (Boylesports) to retain the title having hit 10/1 just nine days ago.
Liverpool’s good start to the season continues and they are 7/1 (Bet365) whilst surprise package Southampton can be backed at 250/1 (Stan James).
