Swans Sinking Fast

Problems on and off the field have heaped pressure on Michael Laudrup. Swansea should not be odds-on for the win.

Swansea have enjoyed two excellent seasons in the Premier League and endeared themselves to football fans around the country; unfortunately they find themselves in a mess and goodwill shouldn’t cloud betting decisions.

The Swans haven’t won in the league since the start of December and they’ve lost five of their last six league games, a run that has them mired in a relegation battle.

All is not well in south Wales. Michael Laudrup is favourite to be the next manager to leave his post, whilst last week the police were called to their training ground to defuse a row between Chico Flores and Garry Monk.

Combine dressing room unrest with a wretched run of form and I cannot understand why Swansea are 8/11 (Paddy Power) to beat Fulham. The Cottagers are also struggling in the league but only two points separate the sides.

Fulham are horribly inconsistent but generally their form has improved under Rene Meulensteen and with pressure heaped on the home side, they look overpriced at 19/4 (Bet365) to leave the Liberty Stadium with all three points.
