Pressure will be intense on the hosts at Old Trafford if they don't strike early. The Potters have the joint 5th best defensive record.
Stoke City have lost three of their eight Premier League fixtures to date by a 1-0 scoreline and are 7/1 (Ladbrokes) to do so again at Old Trafford. For a team who can’t score, but have only conceded more than one once, this looks like a solid value bet.
Everybody knows that the pressure remains firmly on David Moyes with United still down in eighth, and if the hosts don’t break the deadlock early on, then the crowd will get restless and the players nervous. It all makes a handsome home win all the more unlikely.
The Red Devils should have beaten Southampton 1-0 last weekend but for a late equaliser from the Saints. They then did beat Real Sociedad by that scoreline on Wednesday and the Potters are ideal opponents for a repeat.
