Manchester City v Tottenham Tip

Our shot analysis would suggest that nobody is more due a goal in the top flight than this Brazilian midfielder.

When you think of big matches involving Tottenham you think of Spurs so often getting their noses in front but so rarely hanging on for the three points. Last season they broke the deadlock at the Etihad and lost 2-1. They also led at Anfield and the Emirates but were defeated, but did hold on for a famous victory at Old Trafford.

One thing we can take from this is that AVB’s boys are worth a look in the first goalscorer market and at huge odds of 16/1 (PaddyPower) Paulinho could be a long shot bargain. Although the Brazilian has only converted one chance in the Premier League so far this season, he has had an astonishing 36 shots, 23 of which came from inside the penalty area.

To put this in perspective, Luis Suarez has had the same number of shots (from fewer matches) and only 22 of those came from within the box, but he has found the net eight times. In total only four players have had more shots from inside the area than Paulinho in the entire top flight so he is surely due a few more goals. In fact, he is probably the most due a goal in the Premier League based on our shot analysis.

With PaddyPower offering your money back if Sergio Aguero scores last in the match, we also have a great chance of a refund here even if our tasty long shot misses out.
