Bournemouth Bound For Top 10

The Cherries would have finished top half had the season begun on December 1st despite being plagued by key injuries. Jordan Ibe is a statement signing.

One of the success stories of the last year were Bournemouth and there’s every reason to think they can improve again in 2016-17. A top 10 finish is far from out of the question at best odds of 8/1 with Bet365.

Indeed, had last season begun on December 1st - that only discounts the first 14 matches - the Cherries would have finished in the top half.

It’s certainly no surprise that Eddie Howe’s boys struggled early on given their horrific bad fortune with long-term injuries. In the first weeks of the campaign they lost their two most expensive summer signings (Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel) as well as leading striker Callum Wilson.

But now all three are back and ready to add sparkle alongside new £15m recruit Jordan Ibe and Leeds’ England under-19 prospect Lewis Cook. That should more than offset the departures of Matt Ritchie and Tommy Elphick.

Howe has been working the oracle down at Victoria Park for a while now and a group of talented young players working for a manager they respect and admire can go a long way.
