Aston Villa v Swansea Tip

Benteke and Michu are absent for two sides desperate for an upturn in fortunes.

This feels like a really difficult game to call with both teams struggling for form but with both having managers capable of suddenly galvanising their troops.

With that in mind, we’ll sidestep the temptation to pick a winner and instead take the 9/4 (StanJames) on there being under 1.5 goals in the match. Villa look forlorn in attack without the goals of Christian Benteke which they had become so reliant upon. They haven’t scored in five of their previous six league games on their own patch and the discontent around the ground is reminiscent to last Christmas now.

The goalscoring situation isn’t much better for Swansea who will again be missing last season’s talisman Michu on Saturday. The Welsh club have only found the net once in their last four away fixtures in all competitions. One moment of class or composure in the final third may be enough to claim the points for somebody here.
